Sarah and John - Home Remodel
About a year ago we completed a very extensive remodel of our house using California
Building and Remodeling. We approximately doubled the size of our Mission Hills house (originally built in 1911), going from
a 2-bed 2-bath 1100 sq. ft. home to a 3-bed 3- bath 2000 sq. ft. home. The remodel included adding a second story, remodeling
formal living and dining rooms, and greatly extending and completely transforming a small "gallery" kitchen and
bedroom into a large, bright kitchen and adjoining family room. The job was completed in a very high quality manner, with
good attention to aesthetics and detail (a lot of credit goes to our outstanding foreman, Tony, a delightful person and a
very hardworking, thorough and detail-oriented craftsperson).  This was particularly important to us, because the house had a great deal of its original charm, and we did not want to sacrifice
any of that appeal for the sake of expansion. Because of their excellent work, visitors tell us they cannot tell what was
added vs. original, and we receive many compliments on the period feel of the home.
Throughout the 9 month process Phil was always available to us for the inevitable problem-solving
and changes that go with remodeling such an old home, and always seemed to have the best interests of the project in mind.
At the end of the project, Tony and Phil patiently worked through the inevitable punch list to our satisfaction, and continued
to come until we were satisfied. Most surprisingly, we completed this extensive and complicated remodel on time (give or take
a couple of weeks), and within 10% of Phil's starting estimate (despite our little house throwing us all some very strange
curves during the project)! We would work with Phil and California Building and Remodeling again any time. Thanks guys!

Panasonic San Diego-Otay building
The contractual services of California Building and Remodeling
has been called upon on several occasions for the purpose of tenant improvements within the Panasonic San Diego-Otay building.
California Building and Remodeling has taken the time to send estimators and foremen out to the work site to thoroughly review
and understand the scope of work requested. All phases of the job were detailed and planned out and steps taken to protect
existing office equipment and furniture.  A job foreman was present to oversee all phases of the work. Phil Guenther, foremen and work crews were professional at all
times and offered recommendations on how best to accomplish the job. Change orders never resulted from California Building
and Remodeling. All jobs were satisfactorily completed before deadline dates. I highly recommend California Building and Remodeling
and I would not hesitate to use the services of California Building and Remodeling in the future.

Sabrina and Chris - Residential Remodel
We remodeled our kitchen, two bathrooms and family room,
while we were expecting our first child. Phil, Tony and the crew not only did and exceptional job with the workmanship, but
helped us mediate situation s with material, suppliers and outside contractors, which they did not have to do. The whole crew was very nice and easy to
work with. Everyone continually did little extras for us throughout. The remodel was finished before our son arrived as promised.
When we add a second story to our home, Phil will be our guy!
